Airtel Ghana Internet Settings for All Devices – Manual & Automatic Configuration | Overview of Airtel Ghana Internet Settings Procedures for any internet enabled device.

If your device is not automatically configured when you insert your activated Airtel simcard due to one reason or the other, the solution is to manually configure your device to browse the internet with airtel ghana.

Getting Started – Provisioning the AirtelSim for internet or wap

  1. Send ‘internet’ or ‘wap’ to 232.
    Install or save received settings and use as default.
  2. Insert the AirtelSim into an Airtel modem, connect and browse on it for some few minutes.
  3. Call customer care ‘121’ and request for sim provisioning.

Airtel Internet Settings for Android Operating Systems

  1. Go to settings >More settings>Wireless and Mobile networks >Access Point Names>Set new APN.
  2. Enter ‘Airtel’at name.
  3. Enter ‘internet’   at where you see ‘APN’
  4. Save your new APN by checking the newly created.

NB: when setup is successful there will be an ‘H’ ‘3G’ or the bars of your network.

Airtel Internet Settings for IPhones

Internet connection Setup

Go to Menu→ Settings→ General→ Network

APN: internet

Ignore Username & Password

Save

Launch Browser

IPAD

Go to settings > General > Cellular data > Enter ‘internet’ at APN> Save and Launch Browser.

AIRTEL INTERNET SETTINGS – TABLETS

Go to settings > More settings>Wireless and Mobile networks>Access Point Names> Create New APN

  1. Enter  ‘Airtel’at name.
  2. Enter ‘internet’   at where you see ‘APN’
  3. Save your new APN by checking the newly created.

NB: when setup is successful there will be an ‘H’ ‘3G’ or ‘E’ with one up and one down arrow on the bars of your network

  • Or touch the network symbol on your tablet to open the network settings

Go to more settings, mobile network data and create APN.

  1. Save your new APN by checking the newly created.

AIRTEL INTERNET SETTINGS – NOKIA

WAP SETTINGS

1. Go to Menu> Tools >Settings >Connection> Access points> Options
New Access point >Use default setting. Enter details for the following parameters.

  • Connection name: Airtelwap
  • Data Bearer: Pocket data
  • Access point name: wap
  • User name: <none>
  • Password: <none>
  • Authentication: Normal
  • Homepage: http://www.gh.airtellive.com

Go to Options then select Advance settings. Enter details for the following parameters:

Network type: Ipv4
Proxy serv. address: 10.93.85.88
Proxy Port number: 9201

2. Go back to the main menu, select Web, press Options then Settings.

Choose Airtelwap as the default access point.

NOKIA INTERNET SETTINGS

Go to Menu Tools Settings Connection Access points Options New Access point
Use default setting. Enter details for the following parameters

  • Connection name: Airtel Internet
  • Data Bearer: Packet data
  • Access point name: internet
  • User name: <none>
  • Password: <none>
  • Authentication: Normal
  • Homepage: http://google.com

2. Go back to the main menu, select Web, press Options then Settings.
Choose Airtel Internet as the default access point.

SONY ERICSSON

WAP SETTINGS

  • Go to Menu>Choose Settings>Connectivity
  • Go to Data Accounts
  • Create New Account. GPRS/ PS Data
  • Account Name: AirtelWap
  • APN: Wap
  • Save Account
  • Go to Internet Settings
  • Create New Profile
  • Name: Airtel WAP
  • Connect Using: AirtelWap
  • Save Profile
  • Select the profile Airtel WAP in Internet Profile
  • Click Right Soft Key to Choose More and Select Settings
  • Internet Mode: HTTP
  • Use Proxy: Yes
  • Proxy Address: 10.93.85.88
  • Port Number: 9401
  • Save Settings and repeat Step 9 but this time choose Advance Settings
  • Change Homepage
  • Title: Airtel
  • Address: http:/www.gh.airtellive.com
  • Save Changes

SONY ERICCSON INTERNET SETTINGS.

  • Go to Menu>Choose Settings>Connectivity

  • Go to Internet Settings
  • Create New Profile
  • Name: Airtel

  • Click Right Soft Key to Choose More and Select Settings
  • Save Settings and repeat Step 9 but this time choose Advance Settings
  • Change Homepage

Go to Menu Browser Profile Settings (select any Profile Info)
Enter details for the following parameters:

  • Proxy: Enable
  • GPRS Settings
  • IP Address: 10.93.85.88
  • Port: 80
  • APN: wap
  • Login ID: <blank>
  • Password: <blank>

2. To activate WAP over GPRS go to Home.

SAMSUNG WAP SETTINGS

  • Go to Menu> Tools >Settings >Connection> Access points> Options
  • New Access point >Use default setting. Enter details for the following parameters.
  • Connection name: Airtelwap
  • Data Bearer: Pocket data
  • Access point name: wap
  • User name: <none>
  • Password: <none>
  • Authentication: Normal

1. Go to Menu WebAccess Web Sessions [New Entry].
Enter details for the following parameters.

  • Name: AirtelWap
  • Homepage: http://www.gh.airtellive.com
  • Service Type 1: WAP
  • Gateway IP 1: 010.093.085.088
  • Port 1: 9201
  • Line type 1: ISDN

2. Select AirtelWap, press then select Set Default.

Life is Good (LG)

WAP SETTINGS

1. Go to Phone Menu>Settings>Network
2. Go to Access Points
3. Create New Access Point. Enter the following in the field.

  • Connection Title: AirtelWap
  • Bearer: GPRS
  • Authentication: No auth
  • APN: Wap

4. Save Account. Go to Phone Menu, select browser>Settings> Profile
5. Add new Profile. Enter the following in the field.

  • Service Name: AirtelWap
  • Homepage: http:// www.gh.airtellive.com
  • Connection Mode: TCP with Proxy
  • IP Address: 10.93.85.88
  • Proxy Server Port: 9401

6. Set Access Point to AirtelWap.
7. Save Profile

LG INTERNET SETTINGS.

1. Go to Phone Menu>Settings>Network
2. Go to Access Points
3. Create New Access Point. Enter the following in the field.

  • Connection Title: Airtel Internet
  • Bearer: GPRS
  • Authentication: No auth
  • APN: internet

4. Save Account. Go to Phone Menu, select browser>Settings> Profile
5. Add new Profile. Enter the following in the field.

  • Service Name: Airtel Internet
  • Homepage http://google.com
  • Connection Mode: TCP without Proxy
  • IP Address: DISABLE
  • Proxy Server Port: DISABLE

6. Set Access Point to Airtel Internet.
7. Save Profile

ALCATEL

1. Select WAP from the Menu options. Select Profiles then press the OK button.
2. Select Options then Create. Enter details for the following parameters:

  • Profile name: AirtelWap
  • Homepage: http://www.gh.airtellive.com
  • IP address: 010.093.085.088
  • Security: Normal
  • Bearer choice: GPRS
  • Bearer name: AirtelWap
  • Authentication: None
  • APN: Wap

Select Confirm to save bearer settings.
Select Confirm to save profile settings.

3. To activate WAP over GPRS, select AirtelWap. Press the OK button then select Activate.
4. To initiate WAP over GPRS, select WAP then Homepage.

CHINESE PHONES

CHINA PHONE SETTINGS

  • Select “Entertainment”
  • Select “Service”
  • Select “Data Account”
  • Select GPRS data
  • Select  “Select a Profile”
  • Select “Edit Profile”
  • Name: AirtelWap
  • APN: wap
    • User name: none
    • Password: none
  • Authentication: Normal

Save Account

STEP 2

  • Select “Entertainment”
  • Select “Service”
  • Select “WAP” then select “Setting”
  • Select “Edit Profile”
  • Select any of the profile
  • Select “Edit Profile”

GPRS Setting :

1. Rename Profile :AirtelWap
2. Homepage Setting: http://www.gh.airtellive.com
3. Data Account: Airtelwap
4. Select “Connection Type” then select “HTTP” then select “OK”

      1. Proxy Address : 010.093.085.088
      2. Proxy Port : 9401

5. User name:

6. Password:

Step 8: Save& activate the profile

Launch browser.
