Yaw Oppong, a private lawyer, has been appointed Director of Legal Education at the General Legal Council (GLC) and is currently the director of the Ghana School of Law.
Mr Yaw Oppong, who is also a lecturer, will assume the role following Mr Prempeh-impending Eck’s retirement at the start of the 2022/2023 academic year.
Mr Oppong is a member of the London-based Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is now the Managing Partner of Ampofo, Oppong and Associates, an Accra-based law company.
He is presently known as Omansomfo Barima Oppong Kodie, a stool name, as the Manwerehene of Akyem Abuakwa.
