This was disclosed in an interview with Joy News by Association President, Angel Carbonu, in reaction to GES’s formal letter requiring teachers residing in government bungalows to pay rent, including arrears. Teachers who live in bungalows appear to do so to oversee kids at boarding schools. He stated that if they were required to pay rent and any other associated arrears, the teachers would abandon the kids.
