The three royal gates within the Prampram Paramountcy in the Greater Accra region, namely Abbey Doku Mansro We, Tetteh Dzan Larbi Agbo We, Kwei Opletu We, and the paramount stool father, Numo Osabu Abbey IV, have repeated the National House of Chiefs, in response to renewed attempts by the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs to appoint one Michael Quarcoopome Parker as chief of the area.

The petition, signed by the various heads of the three royal gates, seeks, among other things, the immediate intervention of the National House of Chiefs to enjoin any attempt by the regional House of Chiefs to engage in such illegality, given that the house is already hearing a case challenging the legality of the said Quarcoopome Parker.

On September 13th, the royal gates petitioned the National House of Chiefs in a similar effort to gazzette the aforementioned Quarcoopome Parker, who goes by the name Nene Tetteh Wakah III. The house then directed the regional House of Chiefs to suspend the gazettion until the ongoing matter was resolved.

However, the petitioners argue that since the area is currently in disarray as a result of recent events, any effort by the regional House of Chiefs to gazette the claimed Tetteh Wakah may result in a slaughter or chaos.

They cited the murder of the Kley Tsokunya Family head in October as evidence to support their claim that there is a calculated attempt by individuals within the camp of the self-styled to annihilate key members of the said family who have the symbol of authority to determine who becomes Pramrpam’s chief.

They also said that Prampram does not have a chief, and it is critical for the Regional and National Houses of Chiefs to respect this and ensure that their actions and handling of the situation do not destabilize the delicate peace in the region.
